(Matthéüs 8:1-8)

DADELIK HET SY

VELSIEKTE VERDWYN:

1. Toe Jesus van die berg afkom, het ‘n groot skare Hom gevolg.

2. Daar kom toe onverwags ‘n man met ‘n ernstige velsiekte nader en val voor Jesus neer, met die woorde: ‘ Here, as U wil, kan U my gesond maak.’

3. Daarop steek Jesus Sy hand na hom toe uit, raak hom aan en sê: “Ek wil dit vir jou doen. Word gesond!” En dadelik het sy velsiekte verdwyn.

4. Jesus sê toe vir hom: “Sorg dat jy dit vir niemand vertel nie, maar gaan wys vir die priester dat jy gesond is, en bring die offer wat Moses voorgeskryf het. So sal jy vir almal duidelik bevestig dat jy gesond geword het.”

5. Toe Hy in Kapernaum aankom, kom pleit daar ‘n Romeinse offisier oor honderd by Hom:

6. ‘Here, my slaaf lê verlam by my huis, en hy verduur verskriklike pyn.’

7. Jesus sê daarop vir hom: “Ek sal hom kom gesond maak.”

8. Maar die offisier antwoord Hom: ‘Here, ek is nie goed genoeg dat U onder my dak inkom nie. Spreek maar net die Woord, en my slaaf sal gesond word.’

IMMEDIATELY HIS LEPROSY WAS CLEANSED:

1. When He came down from the mountain, great crowds followed Him.

2. And behold, a leper came to Him and knelt before Him, saying: ‘Lord, if You Will, You can make me clean.’

3. And Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying: “I Will, be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4. And Jesus said to him: “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”

5. When He had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to Him, appealing to Him:

6. ‘Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.’

7. And He said to him: “I Will come and heal him.”

8. But the centurion replied: ‘Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof, but only say the Word, and my servant will be healed.’

(Matthéüs 7:24-29)

SY ONDERRIG WAS GESAGVOL:

24. “Elkeen wat na My woorde luister en daarvolgens handel, is soos ‘n verstandige persoon wie se huis op rots gebou is.

25. “Al val daar ‘n stortbui, en al kom die vloedwater af, en al woed daar stormwinde teen die huis, sal dit nie inmekaar stort nie, want sy fondament is stewig op die rots vas.

26. “Maar elkeen wat na My woorde luister en dit nie doen nie, sal wees soos ‘n dwaas wie se huis op die sand gebou is.

27. “Wanneer daar ‘n stortbui val, en die vloedwater afkom, en die stormwinde waai, sal daardie huis heeltemal inmekaar stort.”

28. Toe Jesus Sy rede voltooi het, was die skare diep onder die indruk van Sy onderrig.

29. Dit was immers gesagvol – heeltemal anders as dié van hulle eie skrifkenners.

HE WAS TEACHING THEM AS ONE WHO HAD AUTHORITY:

24. “Everyone then who hear these words of Mine and does them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25. “And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

26. “And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

27. “And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

28. And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,

29. for He was teaching them as One Who Had authority, and not as their scribes.

‘n GESONDE BOOM KAN NIE SLEGTE VRUGTE DRA NIE:

15. “Pas op vir die vals profete. Op die oog af, lyk hulle soos onskuldige lammetjies maar in werklikheid is hulle gulsige wolwe.

16. “Julle sal hulle aan hulle optrede uitken, net soos ‘n mens ‘n boom aan sy vrugte kan uitken. ‘n Mens pluk tog nie druiwetrosse van doringbosse, of vye van dissels nie!

17. ‘n Gesonde boom dra immers goeie vrugte en ‘n siek boom slegte vrugte.

18. “‘n Gesonde boom kan nie slegte vrugte dra nie, en ‘n siek boom nie goeie vrugte nie.

19. “Elke boom wat nie goeie vrugte dra nie, word uitgekap en in die vuur gegooi.

20. “So sal julle hierdie mense aan hulle vrugte uitken.

21. “Nie almal wat vir my ‘Here, Here’ sê, sal in God se Koninkryk ingaan nie. Wat die deurslag sal gee, is of hulle aan My hemelse Vader gehoorsaam was.

22. “Baie sal vir My op die oordeelsdag sê: ‘Here, Here, ons het dan in U Naam gepreek, en in U Naam duiwels uitgedryf, en in U Naam baie wonders verrig!’

23. “Dan sal Ek hulle antwoord: ‘Julle was nooit werklik My mense nie. Gaan weg van My af! Julle het nie gedoen wat voor God reg is nie.’”

15. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

16. “You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

17. “So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.

18. “A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.

19. “Every tree that does not bear good fruit, is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20. “Thus, you will recognize them by their fruits.

21. “Not everyone who says to Me: ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.

22. “On that day many will say to Me: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and do many mighty works in Your Name?’

23. “And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’”

7. “Hou aan met vra, en God sal vir julle gee. Hou aan met soek, en julle sal vind. Hou aan met klop, en God sal die deur vir julle oopmaak.

8. “Elkeen wat so volhardend vra, ontvang; en wie aanhou soek, kry; en vir elkeen wat aanhou klop, sal God oopmaak.

9. “Julle as ouers sal tog nie vir julle kinders as hulle brood vra, klippe gee nie!

10. “Of as hulle vis vra, vir hulle ‘n slang gee nie!

11. “As sondige mense soos julle dan goed weet om goeie dinge aan julle kinders te gee, hoeveel te meer sal julle hemelse Vader goeie dinge gee aan hulle wat dit van Hom vra!”

12. “Doen vir ander alles wat julle graag wil hê hulle vir jou sal doen. Dit is die kern van die Wet en die Profete.

13. “Gaan die Koninkryk deur die nou poort binne. Want wyd is die poort, en breed is die pad wat na ondergang lei, en daar is massas mense wat daar ingaan.

14. “Hoe nou is die poort, en hoe smal is die pad na die lewe nie! Min is die mense wat dit kry!”

MAAK DIE KONINGS-HEERSKAPPY VAN GOD JULLE PRIORITEIT:

33. “Nee, maak die Konings-heerskappy van God en dit wat voor Hom reg is, julle prioriteit; dan sal God vir julle al hierdie ander dinge byvoeg.

34. “Moet julle dus nie oor môre bekommer nie. Môre sal sy eie bekommernisse bring. Vandag se moeilikhede is vir een dag heeltemal genoeg.”

(Matthéüs 7:1-6)

1. “Hou op om ‘n oordeel oor ander uit te spreek. Dan sal God ook nie ‘n oordeel oor julle uitspreek nie.

2. “Hy sal julle beoordeel soos julle ander beoordeel. Die kriterium waarmee julle oordeel, sal ook vir júlle gebruik word.

3. “En hoe sien jy die splintertjie in jou medemens se oog raak, maar jy merk die yslike stomp in jou eie oog nie op nie?

4. “Of hoe sal jy vir jou medemens sê: ‘Kom laat ek daardie splintertjie uit jou oog haal,’ terwyl daar ‘n yslike stomp in jou eie oog sit?

5. “Jou skynheilige, haal eers die stomp uit jou eie oog uit. Dan sal jy ook duidelik kan sien om die splinter uit jou medemens se oog te haal.

6. “Moenie wat heilig is, vir onheilige mense gee nie. Hulle sal dit nie respekteer nie. Hulle sal soos honde omspring en julle verskeur. Moet ook nie julle kosbare pêrels vir elke morsige hierjy aanbied nie. Hulle sal dit nie waardeer nie, maar dit vertrap soos varke onder hulle pote.”

1. “Judge not, that you may be not judged.

2. “For with the judgement you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3. “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

4. “Or how can you say to your brother: ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is a log in your own eye?

5. “Hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly, to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

6. “Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn to attack you.”
