(Romeine 10:16-21) 

DIE GEHOOR KOM VAN DIE PREDIKING OOR DIE VERKONDIGING VAN CHRISTUS: 

1. “Die Israeliete het egter nie almal aan die GOEIE BOODSKAP gehoor gegee nie. Jesaja sê immers: ‘+Here, wie het die prediking geglo wat ons gehoor het?’+
2. “Die GEHOOR kom dus deur die prediking wat mens hoor, en die prediking wat ons hoor, is die verkondiging van Christus.
3. “Maar ‘n mens sou kon vra: ‘Het die Israeliete dan nie die prediking gehoor nie? Alte seker het hulle gehoor! Die Skrif sê: ‘Hulle prediking het oor die hele wêreld weerklink, hulle woorde tot by die uithoeke van die aarde.’
4. “Op ‘n ander vraag: ‘Het Israel dit dan nie verstaan nie? In die eerste plek wys ek op wat God deur Moses sê: ‘Ek gaan julle jaloers maak op mense wat nie ‘n volk is nie, en julle kwaad maak oor ‘n volk wat nie julle kennis het nie.’
5. “En Jesaja gaan selfs verder. Daar sê God: ‘+Ek het My laat vind deur mense wat my nie gesoek het nie, Ek het verskyn aan mense wat na My nie gevra het nie.’+
6. Maar van Israel sê Hy: ‘.+Dag vir dag het Ek My hande uitgesteek na ‘n ongehoorsame en weerspannige volk..+

(Romeine 11:1

1. “‘Het God dan nie tog Sy volk verstoot nie?’ Sou iemand kon vra. ‘Beslis nie! Ek is self ook ‘n Israeliet, ‘n afstammeling van Abraham, uit die stam Benjamin. 
2. “God het Sy volk, wat Hy lank tevore verkies het, nie verstoot nie. Of weet julle nie wat die Skrif sê van Elia nie, hoe hy by God oor Israel gekla het: 
3. “‘+Here, hulle het U Profete doodgemaak en U altare afgebreek, en net ek het oorgebly, en hulle wil my ook om die lewe bring.’+
4. “ Maar wat het God hom geantwoord? ‘+Ek het vir My sewe duisend manne laat oorbly, wat nie vir Baäl aanbid het nie.’+•

FAITH COMES FROM HEARING, AND HEARING THROUGH THE WORD OF CHRIST: 

1. “But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Isaiah says: ‘+Who has believed what he has heard from us?’+
2. “So FAITH comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ.
3. “But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for: ‘their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.’
4. “But I ask: Did Israel not understand? First Moses said: ‘I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation: with a foolish nation I will make you angry.’
5. “Then Isaiah is so bold as to say: ‘+I have been found by those who did not seek Me; I Have shown Myself to those who did not ask for Me.’+
6. “But of Israel He says: ‘+All day long I have held out My hands to a disobedient and contrary people.’+

(Romans 11:1-4)

1. “I ask then: Has God rejected His people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. 
2. “God Has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? 
3. “‘+Lord, they have killed Your Prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.’+
4. “But what is God’s reply to him? ‘+I Have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed  the knee to Baal.’.+

NIEMAND WAT IN HOM GLO SAL TELEUR GESTEL WORD NIE:

1. “Nee, die Skrif sê: ‘+Naby jou is die Woord, in jou mond en in jou hart.’+ En hierdie Woord is die boodskap van die GELOOF, en dit is wat ons verkondig: 
2. “‘As jy met jou mond bely dat Jesus die Here is, en met jou hart glo dat God Hom uit die dood opgewek het, sal jy gered word.’
3. “Met die hart glo ons, en ons word vrygespreek; en met die mond bely ons, en ons word gered. 
4. “Die Skrif sê tog: ‘+Niemand wat in Hom glo, sal teleur gestel word nie.’+
5. “‘Niemand nie!’ Dit maak dus geen verskil of ‘n mens ‘n Jood of ‘n Griek is nie, want dieselfde Here is Here van almal. En Hy SEËN almal wat Hom AANROEP ryklik,
6. “want elkeen wat die Here aanroep, sal GERED WORD. 
7. “Maar hoe kan ‘n mens Hom aanroep as jy nie in Hom glo nie? En hoe kan jy kan Hom glo as jy nie van Hom gehoor het nie? En hoe kan jy van Hom hoor, sonder iemand wat preek? 
8. “En hoe kan iemand preek as hy nie gestuur is nie? Daar staan ook geskrywe: ‘+Hoe wonderlik klink die voetstappe van dié wat die GOEIE BOODSKAP bring.’+”

EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME: 

1. “But what does it say? ‘The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, (that is, the word of FAITH that we proclaim);
2. “because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 
3. “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 
4. “For the Scripture says: ‘+Everyone who believes in Him, will not be put to shame.’+
5. “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing His riches on all who call on Him. 
6. “For everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved. 
7. “How then will they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him, of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 
8. “And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘+How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the GOOD NEWS.’+

(Romeine 9:30-33) 

WIE IN HOM GLO SAL NIE TELEURGESTEL WORD NIE:

1. “Wat is nou die gevolgtrekking? Die Heidene het nie God se vryspraak gesoek nie, maar dit wel gekry – die VRYSPRAAK deur die GELOOF. 
2. “Israel daarenteen het ‘n Wet gesoek waardeur hulle God se vryspraak sou kon kry, maar by so ‘n Wet het hulle nie uitgekom nie. 
3. “Waarom kon hulle nie die vryspraak kry nie? Omdat hulle nie op die GELOOF wou bou nie, maar op hulle eie prestasies. Hulle het oor die Struikelblok gestruikel, waarvan daar geskrywe staan: ‘
4. “‘+Kyk, Ek sit in Sion ‘n Klip neer waaroor ‘n mens struikel, ‘n Rots waarteen jy jou stamp. Maar wie in Hom GLO, sal nie teleurgestel word nie.’+

(Romeine 10:1-7) 

1. “Broers, my hartewens en my gebed tot God vir my volk is dat hulle gered word, 
2. “want ek kan van hulle getuig dat hulle vol ywer vir God is, maar sonder die regte insig. 
3. “Hulle het hulle nie gesteur aan die manier waarop God mense VRYSPREEK nie. Hulle wil niks van God se manier van vryspraak weet nie; hulle probeer dit op hulle eie manier kry. 
4. “Christus is tog die einde van die Wet, sodat elkeen wat GLO, vrygespreek kan word. 
5. “Moses skryf naamlik van die vryspraak op grond van Wets-onderhouding, dat die mens wat doen wat die Wet beveel, daardeur sal lewe. 
6. “Maar van die vryspraak deur die GELOOF sê hy: ‘+Moenie by jouself sê: ‘Wie sal na die hemel toe opklim?’ nie, dit is om Christus af te bring,’ 
7. “of: ‘Wie sal na die onderaardse diepte toe afdaal? nie. Dit is om Christus uit die dood terug te bring.”

WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME: 

1. “What shall we say then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is: A righteousness that is by faith; 
2. “but that Israel who pursued a Law that would lead to righteousness, did not succeed in reaching that Law.
3. “Why? Because they did not pursue it by FAITH but as if it were, based on works. They have stumbled over the Stumbling Stone:
4. “as it is written: ‘+Behold, I Am laying in Zion a Stone of Stumbling, and a Rock of Offense; and whoever believes in Him, will not be put to shame.’+

(Romans 10:1-7)

1. “Therefore, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them, is that they may be saved. 
2. “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 
3. “For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s Righteousness. 
4. “For Christ is the end of the Law, for righteousness to everyone who believes. 
5. “For Moses writes about the Righteousness that is based on the Law, that the person who does the commandments, shall live by them. 
6. “But the Righteousness based on faith says: ‘*Do not say in your heart: Who will ascend into heaven? (That is, to bring Christ down).
7. “Or: ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (That is: ‘To bring Christ up from the dead?)’”

“HULLE WAT NIE MY VOLK IS NIE, SAL EK ROEP OM MY VOLK TE WEES:”

1. “En as God dieselfde wou doen? Hy wou Sy toorn laat sien en Sy Mag bekend maak. Daarom het Hy die voorwerpe van Sy toorn, die mense wat reg was om verdelg te word, met groot geduld verdra. 
2. “So sou Hy ook die rykdom van Sy HEERLIKHEID bekend maak, oor die voorwerpe van Sy ontferming, die mense wat Hy vantevore voorberei het om aan Sy HEERLIKHEID deel te hê. 
3. “En onder hulle is ook ons, wat Hy nie net uit die Jode nie, maar ook uit die ander nasies geroep het. 
4. “So sê Hy dan ook in die boek Hosea: ‘+Hulle wat nie My volk is nie, sal Ek roep om My volk te wees, en haar wat geen liefde ontvang het nie, om my geliefde te wees.’+
5. “‘+In plaas daarvan dat vir hulle gesê is: ‘Julle is nie My volk nie,’ sal hulle geroep word om kinders van die LEWENDE GOD te wees.’
6. “En Jesaja roep van Israel dít uit: ‘
   +Al was die Israeliete so baie soos die sand van die see, net die handjie-vol wat oorbly, sal gered word, 
7. “want die Here gaan eens en vir altyd hier op aarde die saak afhandel.’+
8. “So het Jesaja trouens al vroeër gesê: ‘+As die Here, die Almagtige, nie vir ons ‘n klompie laat oorbly het nie – soos met Sodom sou dit met ons gegaan het, soos Gomorra sou ons uitgewis gewees het.’+

“THOSE WHO WERE NOT MY PEOPLE, I WILL CALL MY PEOPLE:”

1. “What if God, desiring to show His wrath and to make known His Power, Has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 
2. “in order to make known the riches of His Glory, for vessels of mercy, which He Has prepared beforehand for Glory – 
3. “even us whom He Has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles. 
4. “As indeed He says in Hosea: ‘+Those who were not My people, I Will call My people, and her who was not My beloved, I Will call beloved.+
5. “And in the very place where it was said to them: ‘You are not My people,’ there they will be called sons of the LIVING GOD.’
6. “And Asaiah cries out concerning Israel: ‘+Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved, 
7. “‘+for the Lord Will carry out His sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.’+
8. “And as Isaiah predicted: ‘+If the Lord of hosts Had not left us offspring, we would have been like Sodom, and become like Gomorrah.’+
