GROET MEKAAR MET DIE SOEN VAN CHRISTELIKE BROEDERSKAP:

  1.  Die Gemeentes van die provinsie Asië stuur vir julle groete. Van Akwila en Priscilla, en ook die Gemeente wat gereeld in hulle huis bymekaar kom, baie groete in die Here. 
  2. “Al die broers stuur vir julle groete. Groet mekaar met die soen van Christelike broederskap. 
  3. “Nou skryf ek met my eie hand: ‘Groete, Paulus.’
  4. “As iemand die Here nie liefhet nie, vervloek is hy! ‘Maranata, kom Here, kom!’
  5. “Die genade van die Here Jesus sal by julle wees!
  6. “My liefde is by juile in Christus Jesus.”

“LAAT ALLES BY JULLE IN LIEFDE GESKIED:” 

  1. Wat die broer Apollos betref, ek het hom herhaaldelik versoek, om saam met die broers na julle toe te gaan, maar hy wou beslis nie nou nie. Hy sal gaan sodra die tyd vir hom geleë is. 
  2. “Wees waaksaam, staan vas in die geloof, wees manmoedig, wees sterk. 
  3. “Laat alles by julle in liefde geskied. 
  4. “Ek het nog ‘n versoek aan julle broers: Julle weet van Stefanas en sy huisgesin, wat die eerste bekeerlinge in Agaje was, dat hulle, hulle tot diens van die gelowiges gestel het. 
  5. “Stel julle onder die leiding van sulke mense, en van elkeen wat saam met hulle werk en arbei. 
  6. “Ek verbly my oor die aankoms van Stefanas, Fortunatus en Agaikus, want hulle het vir my die gemis aan julle vergoed. 
  7. “Hulle het my gees verkwik en ook julle s’n. Wees erkentlik teenoor sulke manne.”

  1. Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity. 
  2. “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 
  3. “Let all you do, be done in love. 
  4. “I urge you brothers- you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints –
  5. “be subject to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer. 
  6. “I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence, 
  7. “for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such people.”

“HIER STAAN ‘N GROOT EN BELANGRIKE DEUR VIR MY OOP:”

  1. “Wat die kollekte vir die gelowiges in Jerusalem betref, moet julle ook maak soos ek dit in die Gemeentes van Galasië gereël het. 
  2. “Elke Sondag moet elkeen van julle na sy vermoë tuis, iets opsy sit en dit opspaar, sodat die geld-insameling nie eers plaasvind as ek kom nie. 
  3. “Wanneer ek dan gekom het, sal ek die manne wat julle daarvoor goedkeur, met briewe stuur om julle liefdegawe na Jerusalem toe weg te bring. 
  4. “En as dit nodig is, sal ek self ook gaan, dan kan hulle met my saamreis. 
  5. “Ek sal na julle toe kom nadat ek deur Masedonië gereis het, want ek gaan deur Masedonië. 
  6. “By julle sal ek moontlik oorbly of selfs die winter deurbring, dan kan julle my voorthelp op my verdere reis, waarheen dit ookal mag wees. 
  7. “Ek wil julle nou nie net in die verbygaan besoek nie, maar ek hoop om ‘n tydjie by julle deur te bring, as die Here dit toelaat. 
  8. “Ek sal egter tot Pinkster in Efese bly,
  9. “want hier staan ‘n groot en belangrike deur van werk vir my oop, maar hier is ook baie teenstanders. 
  10. “Wanneer Timoteus kom, moet julle hom by julle laat tuisvoel, want net soos ek, doen hy ook die werk van die Here.
  11. “Niemand moet op hom neersien nie. Julle moet hom help om sy reis in vrede voort te sit, sodat hy na my toe kan kom. Ek verwag hom saam met die ander broers.”

“A WIDE DOOR OF EFFECTIVE WORK HAS OPENED TO ME:”

  1. “Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the Churches in Galatia, so you also are to do. 
  2. “On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. 
  3. “And when I arrive, I will send whom you accredit by letter, to carry your gift to Jerusalem. 
  4. “If it seems advisable that I should go also , they will accompany me. 
  5. “I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia,
  6. “and perhaps I will stay with you, and even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey, wherever I go. 
  7. “For I do not want to see you now just in passing, I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. 
  8. “But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost. 
  9. “For a wide door of effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. 
  10. “When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am. 
  11. “So let no one despise him. Help him on his way in peace, that he may return to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers.”

DIE DOOD IS VERNIETIG EN OORWIN: 

  1. “Die eerste mens is uit die aarde, en is stoflik. Die tweede Mens is uit die hemel. 
  2. “Soos die stoflike mens was, so is ook die stoflike mense; en soos die hemelse Mens is, so ook die hemelse mense. 
  3. “Soos ons die beeld van die stoflike mens was, sal ons ook die beeld van die hemelse wees. 
  4. “Wat ek bedoel broers, is dit: vlees en bloed kan nie aan die Koninkryk van God deel kry nie. 
  5. “Kyk, ek maak ‘n geheimenis aan julle bekend: Ons sal nie almal sterwe nie, maar ons sal almal verander word. 
  6. “By die laaste trompet sal dit in ‘n oomblik, in ‘n oogknip gebeur, want die trompet sal weerklink, en die dooies sal as onverganklikes opgewek word, en ons sal verander word. 
  7. “Hierdie verganklike liggaam, moet met die onverganklike beklee word, en hierdie sterflike liggaam met die onsterflike. 
  8. “En wanneer hierdie verganklike liggaam met die onverganklike beklee is, en hierdie sterflike liggaam met die onsterflike, dan sal die Woord wat geskrywe staan, vervul word: ‘+Die dood is vernietig, die oorwinning is behaal’+
  9. “‘+Dood, waar is jou oorwinning? Dood, waar is jou angel?’+”

DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY: 

  1. “The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second Man is from heaven. 
  2. “As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the Man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 
  3. “Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust,we shall also bear the image of the Man of heaven. 
  4. “I tell you this brothers: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 
  5. “Behold! I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep in death, but we shall all be changed, 
  6. “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 
  7. “For the perishable body must put on the imperishable, and the mortal body must put on immortality 
  8. “When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on the immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: ‘+Death is swallowed up in victory. 
  9. “‘+O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’+
  10. “ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law. 
  11. “But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 
  12. “Therefore my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Knowing that in the Lord, your labour is not in vain.”
