DIE GOD VAN LIEFDE EN VREDE SAL BY JULLE WEES: 

  1. “Verder broers, wees bly, streef na die geestelike volwassenheid, aanvaar vermaning, wees eensgesind, leef jn vrede.
  2. “En die God van liefde en vrede sal by julle wees. 
  3. “Groet mekaar met die soen van Christelike broederskap. Almal wat aan die Here behoort, stuur vir julle groete. 
  4. “Die Genade van die Here Jesus Christus, en die liefde van God, en die gemeenskap van die Heilige Gees sal by jullle almal wees.”

“THE GOD OF LOVE AND PEACE WILL BE WITH YOU:”

  1. “Finally brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration. Comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 
  2. “Greet one another with a holy kiss. 
  3. “All the saints greet you. 
  4. “The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

INTRODUCTION to Galatians:

Paul’s letter to the Galations was addressed to a group of Churches in Galatia, a region of present day Turkey. 

Paul had preached the Gospel in these Churches. He wrote to counter those who taught that Christians must be circumcised, in order to be accepted by God. 

Paul began with a defense of his apostolic authority, then made it clear that all believers, Jew and Gentile alike, enjoy complete salvation in Christ. 

Paul showed how the Gospel of Grace leads to true freedom and Godly living. 

Perhaps the central message of Galations is: ‘A person is not justified by works of the Law, but through FAITH in Jesus Christ.’

Paul wrote this letter somewhat between A.D. 48 and 55.

(2 Korinthiërs 13:1-10)

“BESEF JULLE NIE DAT CHRISTUS JESUS IN JULLE IS NIE?”

  1. “Dit is nou die derde keer dat ek na julle toe kom. “Deur die getuienis van twee of drie getuies, moet elke saak bewys word.” Sê die Skrif. 
  2. “Aan dié wat vroeër gesondig het, en aan al die ander het ek voorheen toe ek by julle was, gesê, en ek sê dit nou weer vooruit terwyl ek nie by julle is nie: As ek nou weer na julle toe kom, sal ek niks en niemand ontsien nie. 
  3. “Julle soek mos ‘n bewys dat Christus deur my praat. Hy tree nie swak op teenoor julle nie, maar bewys Sy Krag onder julle, 
  4. “want al is Hy gekruisig in die swakheid van ‘n mens, Hy leef uit die Krag van God. En in Hom is ons ook swak, maar saam met Hom sal ons uit die Krag van God lewe. Dit sal julle sien. 
  5. “Stel julleself op die proef en ondersoek julleself, of julle in die geloof lewe. Besef julle dan nie self dat Christus Jesus in julle is nie? So nie, het julle nie die toets deurstaan nie. 
  6. “Ek hoop dat julle weet dat ons wel die toets deurstaan het. 
  7. “Ons bid God dat julle niks verkeerds doen nie. Dit bid ons, nie dat dit as bewys moet dien dat óns die toets deurstaan het nie. Ons wil hê dat julle die goeie doen, selfs al sou dit lyk asof ons die toets nie deurstaan het nie. 
  8. “Ons vermag niks teen die waarheid van God nie, maar wel alles vir die wasrheid. 
  9. “Ons is dus bly as ons swak is, as julle maar sterk is. Ons bid ook vir julle geestelike volwassenheid. 
  10. “Daarom skryf ek hierdie dinge terwyl ek nog van julle af weg is, want wanneer ek kom, wil ek nie met die gesag wat die Here my gegee het, streng teen julle optree nie. Met dié gesag moet ek opbou, nie afbreek nie.”

“DO YOU NOT REALIZE THAT JESUS CHRIST LIVES IN YOU?”

  1. “This is the third time I am coming to you. Every charge must be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. 
  2. “I warned those who sinned before, and all the others, and I warn them now while absent, as I did when present on my second visit, that if I come again, I will not spare them, – 
  3. “since you seek prove that Christ is speaking to me, He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you. 
  4. “For He was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but in dealing with you, we will live with Him by the Power of God. 
  5. “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you fail to make the test. 
  6. “I hope you will find out that we have not failed the test.   
  7. “But we pray to God that you may not do wrong – not that we may appear to have met the test, but that we may do what is right, though we seem to have failed. 
  8. “For we cannot do anything against the truth, but onły for the truth. 
  9. “For we are glad when we are weak, but you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for. 
  10. “For this reason I pray these things while I am away from you, that when I come, I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority, that the Lord Has given me, for building up, and not for tearing down.”
