WELLUS:  

1. “Julle het gehoor dat daar gesê is: ‘Jy mag nie egbreuk pleeg nie.’
2. “Maar Ek sê vir julle: Elkeen wat na ‘n vrou kyk, en haar begeer, het reeds in sy hart met haar egbreuk gepleeg. 
3. “As jou regteroog jou laat struikel, haal hom uit en gooi hom van jou af weg; want dit is vir jou beter dat net een van jou ledemate verlore gaan, as dat jou hele liggaam in die hel gegooi word. 
4. “Of as jou regterhand jou laat struikel, kap hom af en gooi hom van jou af weg, want dit is vir jou beter dat net een van jou ledemate verlore gaan, as dat jou hele liggaam in die hel beland. 
5. “Daar is ook gesê: Elkeen wat van sy vrou skei, moet aan haar ‘n skeibrief gee. 
6. “Maar Ek sê vir julle: Elkeen wat van sy vrou skei, behalwe oor owerspel, maak dat sy egbreuk pleeg, en iemand wat met die geskeide vrou trou, pleeg ook egbreuk.”

2. “But I say to you: That everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent, has already committed adultery with her. 
3. “If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members, than that your whole body be thrown into hell. 
4. “And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members, than that your whole body go into hell. 
5. “It was also said: ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce. 
6. “But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman, commits adultery.”

JY MAG NIE MOORD PLEEG NIE:

1. “Julle het gehoor dat daar van die ou tyd af aan die mense gesê is: ‘Jy mag nie moord pleeg nie, en elkeen wat moord pleeg is strafbaar voor die regbank.’ 
2. “Maar Ek sê vir julle: Elkeen wat vir sy broer kwaad is, is al strafbaar voor die regbank. Verder, elkeen wat sy broer uitskel vir ‘n gek, is strafbaar voor die Joodse Raad, en wie hom uitskel vir ‘n idioot, is strafbaar met die helse vuur. 
3. “As jy dus jou gawe na die altaar toe bring, en dit jou daar byval dat jou broer iets teen jou het, 
4. “laat staan jou gawe daar by die altaar, en gaan maak eers vrede met jou broer, en kom dan en being jou gawe. 
5. “As iemand ‘n regsaak teen jou begin, kom betyds tot ‘n skikking, solank jy nog saam met hom op pad is hof toe. Sodat hy jou nie voor die regter bring en die regter jou aan die polisie oorgee, en hulle jou in die tronk sit nie. 
6. “Dit verseker Ek julle: Jy sal sekerlik nie daar uitkom, voordat jy die laaste sent betaal het nie.”

YOU SHALL NOT MURDER:

1. “You have heard that it was said to those of old: ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be liable to judgement.’
2. “But I say to you that everone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgement; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council, and whoever says: ‘You fool,’ will be liable to the hell of fire. 
3. “So if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 
4. “leave your gift there before the altar and go, first and be reconciled with your brother. And then come and offer your gift. 
5. “Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are going with him to court. Lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison. 
6. “Truly I say to you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny.”

(Matthéüs 5:13-20)

JULLE IS DIE LIG VAN DIE WÊRELD:

1. “Julle is die sout van die aarde. Maar as die sout verslaan het, hoe kry ‘n mens dit weer sout? Dit is niks meer werd nie. Dit word buitekant weggegooi, en die mense vertrap dit. 
2. “Julle is die lig van die wêreld. ‘n Stad wat op ‘n berg lê, kan nie weggesteek word nie. 
3. “Ook steek ‘n mens nie ‘n lamp op, en sit dit onder ‘n emmer nie, maar op ‘n lampstaander, en dit gee lig vir almal in die huis. 
4. “Laat julle lig so skyn voor die mense, sodat hulle julle goeie werke kan sien, en julle Vader wat in die hemel is, verheerlik. 
5. “Moenie dink dat Ek gekom het om die Wet of die Profete ongeldig te maak nie. Ek het nie gekom om hulle ongeldig te maak nie, maar om hulle, hulle volle betekenis te laat kry. 
6. “Dit verseker Ek julle: Die hemel en die aarde sal eerder vergaan, as dat een letter of letterstrepie van die Wet sal wegval, voordat alles voleindig is.
7. “Wie dan ook een van die geringste van hierdie gebooie ongeldig maak, en die mense so leer, sal die minste geag word in die Koninkryk van die hemel. Maar wie die Wet gehoorsaam en ander so leer, sal hoog geag word in die Koninkryk van die hemel. 
8. “Ek sê vir julle: As julle getrouheid aan die Wet nie meer inhou as dié van die skrifgeleerdes of die Fariseërs nie, sal julle nooit in die Koninkryk van die hemel ingaan nie.”

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD;

1. “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. 
2. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 
3. “Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 
4. “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works, and give Glory to your Father Who is in heaven. 
5. “Do not think that I Have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;  I Have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. 
6. “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one iota, not one dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 
7. “Therefore, whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teach them, will be called great in the Kingdom of heaven. 
8. “For I tell you: Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven.”

(Matthéüs 4:23-25) 

BERIGTE OOR HOM HET DEUR DIE HELE SIRIË VERSPREI:

1. Jesus het toe in die hele Galilea rondgegaan en die mense in hulle sinagoges geleer, die Evangelie van die Koninkryk verkondig, en elke soort siekte en kwaal onder die volk gesond gemaak. 
2. En berigte oor Hom het deur die hele provinsie Sirië versprei. Die mense het toe siekes met allerhande kwale en pyne, dié wat in die mag van bose geeste was, geestelik versteurdes, en verlamdes na Hom toe gebring, en Hy het hulle gesond gemaak. 
3. Groot menigtes uit Galilea, Dekapolis, Jerusalem, Judea en van oorkant die Jordaan af, het Hom gevolg. 

(Matthew 5:1-12) 

1. Toe Jesus die menigte mense sien, het Hy teen die berg opgegaan. Nadat Hy gaan sit het, het Sy dissipels na Hom toe gekom, 
2. en Hy het hulle geleer en gesê: 
3. “Geseënd is dié wat weet hoe afhanklik hulle van God is, want aan hulle behoort die Koninkryk van die hemel. 
4. “Geseënd is dié wat treur, want hulle sal vertroos word. 
5. “Geseënd is die sagmoediges, want hulle sal die Nuwe Aarde ontvang. 
6. “Geseënd is die wat honger en dors na wat reg is, want hulle sal versadig word. 
7. “Geseënd is dié wat barmhartig is, want aan hulle sal barmhartigheid bewys word. 
8. “Geseënd is dié wat rein van hart is, want hulle sal God sien. 
9. “Geseënd is die vredemakers, want hulle sal kinders van God genoem word. 
10. “Geseënd is dié wat vervolg word omdat hulle doen wat reg is, want aan hulle behoort die Koninkryk van die hemel. 
11. “Geseënd is julle wanneer die mense julle ter wille van My beledig en vervolg. 
12. “Wees bly en verheug, want julle loon is groot in die hemel. Hulle het immers die Profete voor julle, net so vervolg.”

HIS FAME SPREAD THROUGOUT ALL SYRIA: 

1. And Jesus went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. 
2. So His fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought to Him all the sick: Those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and He healed them. 
3. And great crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan. 

(Matthew 5:1-12)

1. Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain, and when He sat down, His disciples came to Him. 
2. And He taught them saying:
3. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. 
4. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 
5. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth. 
6. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. 
7. “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. 
8. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 
9. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 
10. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. 
11. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you, and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on My account. 
12. “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the Prophets who were before you.”

(Matthéüs 4-18-22) 

KOM SAAM MET MY TV EN EK SAL JULLE VISSERS VAN MENSE MAAK: 

1. Eendag toeJesus langs de See van Galilea loop, sien Hy twee broers: Simon wat ook  Petrus genoem word, en Andreas sy broer.
2. Hulle was besig om ‘n werpnet in die see uit te gooi, want hulle vissers van beroep. 
3. Hy sê toe vir hulle: “Kom hier! Kom saam met My, en Ek sal julle vissers van mense maak. Hulle het dadelik die nette gelos en Hom gevolg. 
4. Toe Hy daarvandaan verder gaan, sien Hy twee ander broers: Jakobus, ‘n seun van Sebedeus, en sy broer Johannes. Hulle was in ‘n skuit saam met hulle pa, besig om hulle nette reg te maak. Jesus het hulle geroep,
5. en hulle het dadelik die skuit en hulle pa verlaat, en Jesus gevolg.

(Matthew 4:18-22) 

FOLLOW ME AND I WILL MAKE YOU FISHERS OF MEN: 

1. While walking by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers; Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen 
2. And Jesus said to them: “Follow Me, and I Will make you fishers of men.”
3. Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. 
4. And going on from there He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John, his brother, in the boat with Zebedee, their father, mending their nets, and He called them. 
5. Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.
