PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:

(Handelinge 9:3-9)

“DIS VIR MY WAT JY VERVOLG:”

3. Toe Saulus op sy sending naby Damaskus kom, het daar skielik ‘n lig uit die hemel hom omstraal!

4. Hy het op die grond neergeval, en ‘n stem vir hom hoor sê: ‘+Saul, Saul, waarom vervolg jy My?’+

5. “Wie is U Here?” het hy toe gevra. ‘+Ek is Jesus,’+ antwoord Hy daarop. ‘+Dis vir MY wat jy vervolg.

6. ‘+Staan nou op en gaan die stad in. Dáár sal vir jou gesê word wat jou te doen staan.’+

7. Die mans saam met hom was sprakeloos van verbasing, want hulle het iemand se stem gehoor, maar niemand gesien nie.

8. Saulus het van die grond af opgestaan, en alhoewel sy oë oop was, kon hy niks sien nie. Hulle is Damaskus in terwyl sy reisgenote hom aan die hand lei.

9. Hy was drie dae lank daar, sonder om te sien, en hy het ook niks geëet of gedrink nie.

(Acts 9:3-9)

“I AM JESUS WHOM YOU ARE PERSECUTING.”

3. As Saul went on his way, he approached Damascus. And suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.

4. And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him: ‘+Saul, Saul, why are you percecuting Me?’+

5. And Saul said: “Who are You, Lord?” And He said: ‘+I Am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting.

6. ‘+But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.’.+

7. The men who were traveling with Saul, stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.

8. Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

9. And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank anything.

(Handelinge 8::35-40)

“WAAROM KAN EK NIE GEDOOP WORD NIE:”

35. Filippus het toe by hierdie Skrifgedeelte begin, en die Evangelie oor Jesus aan hom vertel.

36. Op pad kom hulle toe by water aan, en die Etiopiër vra:

37. ‘Kyk, daar is water! Waarom kan ek nie gedoop word nie?’

38. Hy het die wa toe laat stilhou, en hulle twee het in die water gegaan. En Filippus het hom gedoop.

39. Toe hulle uit die water opkom, het die Gees van die Here vir Filippus weggevat. Die Etiopiër het hom nie meer gesien nie, maar hy het sy reis met blydskap voortgesit.

40. Toe Filippus hom weer kom kry, was hy in die stad Asdod. Hy het daarvandaan deur al die dorpe, die Goeie Nuus verkondig totdat hy in Sesarea aangekom het.

(Handelinge 9:1-2)

1. Intussen het Saulus met elke asemteug dreigemente uitgespreek. Hy wou die volgelinge van die Here doodmaak. Daarom het hy na die hoofpriester toe gegaan.

2. Hy het briewe van hom aan die sinagoges in Damaskus gevra, waarin hulle versoek word om hom te help om diegene wat aan “Die Pad” behoort, manne èn vroue , op te spoor, en hulle geboeid na Jerusalem terug te bring.

(Acts 8:35-40)

“WHAT PREVENTS ME FROM BEING BAPTIZED?:”

35. Then Philip, beginning with this Scripture, told him the Good News about Jesus.

36. And as they were going along the road, they came to some water. And the Ethiopian said:

37. ‘See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?’

38. And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water. Philip and the Ethiopian. And he baptized him.

39. And when they came up, out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the Ethiopian saw him no more. But went on his way, rejoicing.

40. But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through, he preached the Gospel to all the towns, until he came to Caesarea.

(Acts 9:1-2)

1. But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

3. and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so if they found any belonging to “The Way, men or women, they might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
