    Jerusalem.
  2. When He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount that was called Olivet, He sent two of His disciples,
  3. saying: “Go to the village in front of you, where on entering, you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever yet sat.
  4. “Untie it, and bring it here. If anyone asks you: ‘Why are you untying the colt?, you shall say this: ‘The Lord Has need of it. ‘
  5. So those who were sent went away and found it just as He Had told them.
  6. And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them: ‘Why are you untying the colt?’
  7. And they said: ‘The Lord Has need of it.’

  2. Daar was ‘n man met die naam Saggeus, die hoof tollenaar, ‘n ryk man.

  7. Almal wat dit gesien het, het beswaar gemaak en gesê: ‘Hy gaan by ‘n sondige man tuis!’
  8. Maar Saggeus het opgestaan en vir die Here gesê: ‘Here, ek gaan die helfte van my goed vir die armes gee, en waar ek iets van iemand afgepers het, gee ek dit vierdubbel terug ‘

(Luke 19:1-10)

“THE SON OF MAN CAME TO SEEK AND TO SAVE THE LOST:”

  1. Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
  2. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector, and was very rich.
  3. And he was seeking to see Who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature.
  4. So he ran on ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Jesus, for He was about to pass that way.
  5. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him: “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.”
  6. So he hurried and came down, and received Him joyfully.
  7. And when all the people who stood around saw it, they grumbled: ‘He Has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.’
  8. And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord: ‘Behold Lord, the half of my goods I will give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.’
  9. And Jesus said to him: “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham.
  10. “For the Son of man came to seek and to save the lost.”

PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:

(Lukas 18:9-17).

ELKEEN WAT HOOGMOEDIG IS SAL VERNEDER WORD:

  10. PEARL FOR EACH DAY:

 Monday 24 March 2025.

(Luke 18:9-17)

EVERYONE WHO EXALTS HIMSELF WILL BE HUMBLED:

  1. He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves, that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt.
  2. “ Two men went up, into the temple to pray. One a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
  3. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
  4. “‘I fast twice a week; and I give tithes of all that I get.’
  5. “But the tax collector standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven; but beat his breast, saying: ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner.’
  6. “I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself, will be exalted.”
  7. The people were bringing even infants to Him that He might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
  8. But Jesus called them to Himself, saying: “Let the children come to Me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of God.
  9. “Truly I say to you: Whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child, shall not enter it.”

HE WILL GIVE JUSTICE TO THEM SPEEDILY:

Sondag 23Maart 2025.

(Lukas 18:1-8)

HY SAL HULLE HELP, EN GOU OOK:

  2. Hy het gesê: “In ‘n sekere stad was daar ‘n regter, wat geen eerbied vir God, of agting vir ‘n mens gehad het nie.
  3. “En in dieselfde stad het ‘n weduwee gewoon wat hom herhaaldelik kom vra het: ‘Doen aan my reg in my saak teen my teenparty.’
  5. “‘maar aangesien hierdie weduwee so aanhou om my lastig te val, sal ek haar in haar regsaak help, anders kom klap sy my op die ou end ook nog.’

PEARL FOR EACH DAY:

 Sunday 23 March 2025.

HE WILL GIVE JUSTICE TO THEM SPEEDILY:

  2. He said: “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man.
  3. “And there was a widow in that city, who kept coming to him, saying: ‘Give me justice against my adversary!’
  4. “For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself: ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,
  5. “‘yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’
  6. And the Lord said: “Hear what the unrighteous judge says.
  7. “And Will God not give Justice to the elect, who cry to Him day and night? Will He delay long over them?
  8. “I tell you, He will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, Will He find faith on earth?”
