MATTHIAS WAS NUMBERED WITH THE ELEVEN APOSTLES:

PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG:

(Handelinge 1:23-26) 

MATTIAS IS GEKIES AS DIE TWAALFDE APOSTEL: 

  1. Hulle stel toe twee voor: Josef wat ook Barsabbas of Justus genoem word, en Mattias. 
  2. Hulle bid toe saam dat die regte een verkies word: “Here,” het hulle gebid: “U ken elke hart. Wys ons watter een U gekies het
  3. om as apostel te dien in die plek van Judas, wat ons in die steek gelaat het, om na die plek te gaan waar hy hoort.”
  4. Hulle het toe geloot, en die loting het vir Mattias aangewys. So is hy gekies as die twaalfde apostel. 

(Handelunge 2:1-4)

  1.  Op Pinksterdag, sewe weke na Jesus se opstanding, was al die gelowiges op een plek saam. 
  2. Skielik was daar in die lug bokant hulle ‘n geluid soos van ‘n geweldige stormwind, en dit het die hele huis gevul waar hulle bymekaar was. 
  3. Tonge, wat gelyk het soos individuele vuurvlamme, het toe tussen hulle verskyn, en op elkeen van hulle gaan sit. 
  4. Almal is toe met die Heilige Gees vervul, en soos die Gees vir hulle die vermoë gegee het, het hulle in ander tale begin praat.

MATTHIAS WAS NUMBERED WITH THE ELEVEN APOSTLES:

  1. And they put forward two: Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. 
  2. And they prayed and said: “You Lord, Who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two You Have chosen 
  3. “to take the place in this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas turned aside, to go to his own place.”
  4. And they cast lots for them and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. 

(Acts 2:1-4)

  1. When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 
  2. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound, like a Mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 
  3. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 
  4. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

(Handelinge 15:15-21) 

“EK SAL DIE VERVALLE HUIS VAN DAWID WEER OPBOU:”

  1. ‘En hiermee stem die woorde van die Profete saam. Daar staan geskrywe: 
  2. ‘+Daarna sal Ek terugkom, en Ek sal die vervalle huis van Dawid weer opbou. Ek sal sy bouvalle herstel, en dit weer regmaak,
  3. ‘+sodat ook die ander volke die Here kan soek, ja, al die nie-Joodse nasies, oor wie Ek My Naam uitgeroep het. “So sê die Here”, wat hierdie dinge 
  4. ‘+lank gelede al bekend gemaak het.,+
  5. Daarom oordeel Ek dat ons dit nie moeilik moet maak vir die gelowiges wat hulle uit die geledere van die nie-Jode tot God bekeer het nie. 
  6. ‘Ons moet egter vir hulle skryf om weg te bly van dinge wat deur afgode besoedel is, van seksuele sondes, asook van iets wat verwurg is. en van bloed.
  7. ‘Julle weet mos: Moses het in elke stad al vir geslagte lank mense wat sy voorskrifte verkondig: Elke Sabbatdag word sy boeke in die sinagoges voorgelees.’

“I WILL REBUILD THE TENT OF DAVID THAT HAS FALLEN:”

  1. ‘And with this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written: 
  2. ‘.+After this I Will return, and I Will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I Will rebuild its ruins, and I Will restore it, 
  3. ‘+that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by My Name,’+ says the Lord, Who makes these things 
  4. ‘+known from of old.’+
  5. ‘Therefore My judgement is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, 
  6. ‘but should write to them: To abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. 
  7. ‘For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.’
